WHO WE ARE
Modern Domains is a commercial renovation and project management firm that proudly serves the East Coast. It was established in 2000 by John E Shatraw Jr., who started out as a small residential contractor and has since amassed 25 years of construction experience. Our growth over the years has been based on integrity, trust and presenting a quality finished product. We are setting our sights on expanding into the Mid-West and West Coast as we continue to grow. Our staff of construction professionals represent more than 100 years of experience in the construction industry.
WHAT WE DO
Modern Domains specializes in large scope interior renovations but also has extensive experience in every type of exterior renovation. We have also been called in by some of our most faithful clients for emergency services such as fire damage repair, flood damage repair, mold remediation and snow removal. Over the last 10 years, Modern Domains has also helped develop and build Assisted/Senior Living facilities for America’s growing elderly population.
Our project management services save our clients on supervision, administrative and procurement costs. This allows them to concentrate on managing their business instead of their remodel.

SAFETY AND SATISFACTION
Modern Domains understands that the safety and welfare of our clients as well as their clients is of the highest priority in the planning process of our projects and during the construction process. We really go the extra mile in helping everyone involved to feel comfortable and secure while we are in their space. Our on-site Project Supervisors conduct safety meetings with the site staff to ensure the highest level of communication in occupied and unoccupied spaces.
We strive to complete our client’s projects on time and on budget. Successful construction projects require a combination of project management skills and a careful attention to detail to ensure effective communication among all parties involved in the construction process.

John E Shatraw Jr.
President
Having over 25 years of general construction experience, John has led the staff at Modern Domains to stimulate growth in skills and company expansion. He has been directly responsible for all phases of construction in the company through the years. John still manages parts of the day to day business of Modern Domains and also visits project sites to ensure quality control. His experience and rapport with our clients has been the key to the success of Modern Domains.

Patricia Songao
Project Manager
Having 20 years of experience in teaching mathematics, Patricia personifies the definition of a detail oriented manager. She has extensive experience in planning, meeting deadlines, resourcefulness, management, budgeting, scope comprehension and team building. She is a relentlessly hard worker that doesn’t allow any stone to go unturned. She has the utmost respect for every client of Modern Domains and commands the highest standard of work ethics for guaranteed service satisfaction.

Joanne Shatraw
Accounting Administrator
Having 18 years of experience in Nursing and Administration, Joanne is the ideal Administrator for the company. She is also a Registered Nurse with a Master’s degree in Science and majored in Administration. This affords her a unique inside view of how our work will affect the end users of the majority of our projects as well as their comfort through the whole renovations process. Formerly a department manager in a hospital, Joanne draws upon her experience in healthcare finance and management to provide the best possible service in her role as Accounting Administrator. She handles our Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and our insurance documentation needs.
